The Jim Dunlop Crybaby DB01 Dimebag Signature Wah is a devastating audio device and is the brian child of Dimebag Darrell of Pantera. Going by the name of the DB-01 Crybaby From Hell, this little number features a hoast of custom upgrades for added flexibility and power.
Aside from its unique camoflage finish, the real magic is going on within this pedal. Firstly, compared to a classic Cry baby the sweep range has been extended to give the player both more lows and more highs so they can cover more sonic ground than any artist before while control is retained via the 'Fine tune' knob located on the side.
Another side-mounted feature is a 6-way frequency selector enabling the player to pick what frequency they are going to play within. Also featured is a switchable boost, this can be found at the back of the pedal rather than the front and utilises LEDs to indicate wah and boost status at any given moment.
Extra grip comes from skateboard skid-tape on it instead of rubber so when you've got beer on your feet you won't slip off it. The Crybaby from Hell has another trick up its sleeve too with an extra input jack on the left-hand side of the pedal so you can go in and out on just that side if you wanted to. This is handy if you are just using the wah, because you don't have to trail a cable aroud the top of it and create a mess!
