A tribute to the decade that made the P Bass an icon, the Classic Vibe '60s Precision Bass embodies the aesthetics of the original. The Squier Classic Vibe 60s Precision Bass features a smooth maple neck with a slim and comfortable "C" shaped neck profile, perfect for fast playing. Fitted with two Fender Designed Alnico Split-Coil pickups, the Fender Squier Classic Vibe 60s Precision Bass provides a completely organic sound, with no hum or interference sound that you may hear in the single coil pickups. The Squier Classic Vibe 60s Precision Bass features a vintage-style 4-saddle bridge gives optimum transference of string vibrations to the body, giving you a resonant and sustaining sound. This throwback Squier model also features a 1960s inspired headstock, a vintage-tinted gloss, and a 3-tone sunburst finish, all of which contribute towards the stunningly old-school aesthetics.

Quality tonewoods

The Squier Classic Vibe 60s Precision Bass, 3-Tone Sunburst has a Poplar body with a maple neck. This classic combination provides a warm and resonant sound with bright overtones and great sustain. The maple neck gives a bright snap to your tone while the laurel fingerboard provides almost identical visual and tonal properties to rosewood, helping your note articulation and giving a smooth playing surface for the left hand. The body is crafted with the Fender Precision outline, providing smooth contours in all the right places so you'll have a comfortable playing-experience whether stood up or sat down.

Smooth playing maple neck and laurel fingerboard

The Squier Classic Vibe 60s Precision Bass, has a smooth maple neck, enhancing this bass’ natural brightness while tightening up its tone to deliver plenty of cut. A laurel fingerboard is also added, offering extra warmth and depth for a truly stunning tonality. The combination between the maple and laurel delivers a beautifully sparkling high-end, with a thick low-end and snappy midrange attack to suit a variety of musical styles. The neck also features Fender’s classic ''C'' shaped profile, providing the fretting hand with excellent comfort across the entire fingerboard.

High quality, dynamic pickups

Completely organic sound. The Squier Classic Vibe 60s Precision Bass features a duo of split-coil Fender® Designed Alnico pickups, ideal for unleashing natural-sounding power into your music. Split-coil pickups were originally created to eliminate the slight hum that was often heard was playing loud in single coil pickups. This is very well suited for powerful, dynamic playing in rock, metal, and jazz styles.

Stable performance

A vintage-style 4-saddle bridge gives optimum transference of string vibrations to the body, giving you a resonant and sustaining sound. The 4 saddles also enable full adjustment over each string's action (height) and intonation (tuning across the fingerboard) so you'll be able to get the perfect setup for in-tune playing and a smooth action. The standard open-gear tuners are accurate and give easy tuning adjustments along with a classic aesthetic. This hardware makes the Squier Classic Vibe 60s Precision Bass ideal for studio use and reliable performances on stage.

Resonant synthetic bone nut

Featuring a carefully fitted synthetic bone nut, the Fender delivers an increased resonance and bright tonality. When compared to traditional plastic and Tusq materials used to construct guitar nuts, synthetic bone improves the vibration transfer between the string and tuning machines without dampening the tone.

The history of the Precision Bass

Debuted in late 1951, the Precision Bass guitar was not only Fender's first bass guitar, it was the world's first bass guitar and a new kind of instrument. The Precision Bass (often shortened to P-Bass), has spent well over half a century at the very heart of music everywhere. With its two-horned solid body and fretted neck, the Precision Bass profoundly revolutionised music. Reigning ever since as a must-have instrument, this elegantly simple and enormously powerful instrument is the worldwide standard for bass tonality, performance, reliability and overall excellence.
