The AC2040 features a grand concert body shape with a solid mahogany top with rosewood binding on solid mahogany sides and two-piece back with a rosewood backstrip inlay and a natural high gloss finish. The soundhole is round with an abalone rosette. It has a mahogany neck with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with rosewood binding and abalone dot position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a rosewood bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, and a bone nut.
