General
While compact, the Aftershock Bass Distortion by Source Audio houses three different overdrive engines and invites you to a true fuzz-festival of tone including low-end crunch. The Tube engine puts out vintage-style tube-overdrive with a supple breakup and plenty of punch; the Heavy engine creates an aggressively scooped sound with a full dose of bass and ample top-end; and finally, the Fuzz engine spurs on that intense Germanium fuzz so many players look for their whole lives. Meanwhile, the intuitive lay-out helps you to create the ultimate tone. The Clean pot lets you mix in the right amount of dry signal for a solid foundation, while the Tone control can be used to hit the sweet spot between distortion, bass and definition. Needless to say, the Drive control determines the amount of distortion that's added to the dry signal.
Neuro Editing Systems for More Sounds and Possibilities
Like all Source Audio One Series pedals, the Aftershock can be extensively tweaked using the Neuro Desktop Editor software for Windows and Mac or the Neuro Mobile App for iOS and Android. Using the software, you can create presets, adjust 'deeper' settings, create effects loops, split the signal, and even stack more distortion engines for extra gain and extra sounds. Any presets can be simply loaded into the pedal and called up whenever needed!
