The all tube 100 watt 2x12 guitar combo which was launched at Winter NAMM 2005, incorporates a number of boutique features, including, a variable Class A/B control called Texture. This allows sweepable selection between Class A and Class A/B power structures, as well as any combination of the two, enabling guitarists to coax virtually any tone from the Valve King amplifier. The preamp and power amp sections are powered by 12AX7 and 6L6GC tubes respectively, which drive specially voiced 12 inch Valve King speakers. Additional features include two footswitchable channels with independent 3-band EQ and volume, plus footswitchable gain/volume boost on the lead channel to provide extra volume when soloing. The combo also benefits from global resonance, presence and reverb controls, a buffered effects loop, as well as dual speaker jacks in parallel. Also available in the Valve King range is a 112 50 watt combo and a 100 watt head with matching cabinets.
